HISTORY

Briton Engineering came into existence in 1979 when a number of primitive dry slope materials were on hillsides around the UK. The company started servicing and manufacturing lifts, but soon went on to be heavily involved in slope design and construction.

The company is based on extensive engineering knowledge and a love of snow sports. Having designed ski lifts specifically for the urban ski slope the natural progression was to work on the surface technology. Snowflex was first developed in the early 1990's where the production process was perfected and the product rigorously tested. The first installation was at Calshot Activity Centre (Hampshire, UK) in 1996, who are still one of our valued customers today.

Since then the company has gone on to make every shape and feature imaginable on a slope, from half pipes to cornices, couloirs to mogul fields, table tops, hips and kickers, and of course dedicated nursery and intermediate slopes.
