What is water consumption like using the BritonMist lubrication system? PDF Print E-mail
The system is ordinarily designed and set to mist the slope for 2 minutes every 4 minutes. This can however be overridden either automatically or manually if need be. A 7500sqm slope will typically use 200 litres of water per minute. In dry, windy conditions 70% of the water used can typically be re-cycled.

What sort of electrical power do I need to run a Snowflex slope? PDF Print E-mail

It really does depend on the design of the slope but as a general “rule of thumb” you will need:

1 x 30Kw for a Briton Buttons lift on a main slope

1 x 3Kw for a QueueDodger® on a nursery slope

1 x 5Kw for the BritonMist® system

1 x 0.5Kw for each floodlight fitted

Can I groom a Snowflex slope with snow on top? PDF Print E-mail
This depends on how much snow there is on top of the snowflex surface, tests have shown that snow a meter thick can be mechanically groomed by piste machines on top of snowflex all winter with out any damage to the snowflex, however a mechanical groomer is likely to damage the surface if groomer blades make contact with it so it is safer to groom anything under 300mm of snow on top by hand.
