Briton announces major Spanish snowsports project PDF Print E-mail

Briton marches on through Europe

Briton Engineering Developments Limited is pleased to announce its third project on mainland Europe - in Valladolid, Spain.

Following their involvement in the Esquí y Montaña exhibition at IFEMA last November in Madrid, Briton has been contracted to design and install a ski slope some 9500 square metres in size in association with their Spanish partners, EXIVIA S.L. of Madrid.

Briton will be bringing its extensive design and build experience to bear and the new slope will sport the finest freestyle features the market demands, including several jumps, grind rails and an Olympic sized half pipe, similar to the project recently completed in Nœux Les Mines in northern France.

Spain is completely new territory for outdoor synthetic snowsports systems. Prior to the Madrid exhibition last November the Spanish had never seen a product such as Snowflex® and thankfully had not experienced old style dull and dangerous surfaces produced by companies with no real interest in snowsports. Briton applauds the council of Valladolid and SODEVA in having the vision, passion and resources to bring the dream to reality and recognising that Snowflex® is the only product which will give benefit to all snowsports enthusiasts 365 days a year.

The schedule set for construction is an aggressive one therefore skiers and 'boarders can look forward to the opening of the new slope early 2007, some four months after starting on site.

Briton Engineering Developments Limited has over 25 years experience in snowsports. Through its revolutionary Snowflex snowsports system, its certified ski lifts and its relationship with Doppelmayr, it is the market leader in providing turnkey solutions to the urban snowsports market.
