Briton Engineering Developments Limited is delighted to announce that the Loisinord Ski Slope at Noeux-les-Mines is now open. For contact details, see below.
Over the weekend of the 7th - 8th October 2006, Briton organised a
competition in order to promote the slope - the largest ever
constructed. This was a huge success and we would like to thank all
those involved that made it so.
According to all the competitors, sponsors and press in attendance the event was a complete
success - and the slope even more so!
Seventy eight entrants from afar a field as England, Scotland, Holland,
Belgium, the Czech Republic, Germany, & Spain (the
Spanish Olympic Freestyle Ski team, no less) took part in the competition. Also
in attendance at the event were clients from Spain, Portugal & Germany, 50 plus
mums, dads, family and friends. The staff at the Loisinord Ski Centre lodge
recorded in excess of 8000 spectators from the locality during the course of the
day – which was a fantastic result!
The party and award giving at night was a great event too with really great prizes donated
by generous sponsors including Envirosport, d30, the Snowboard Asylum (TSA),
Westbeach and the Cambridge in Nœux Les Mines. Prizes included snowboards, board
bags, ski/board jackets, safety hats and a major cash prize of €1000 for the
team event.
A special mention must go to all the sponsors:
as well as all the people who turned up and took part.
Winners of the competition were as follows:
Best Male Snowboarder – Sam Cullum (Eng)
Best Female Snowboarder – Laura Berry (Eng)
Best Male Skier – James Webb (Eng)
Best Female Skier – Reyes Santaolalla de la Puerta (Spain)
