Noeux les Mines

Noeux les Mines

This iconic French slope had a Snowflex makeover in 2006 including a complete redesign of the snowsports terrain.

The slope was first developed in 1996 using a moulded plastic surface. The poor quality and performance of its original surface led to a lack of business, and the venue closed just six months after launch.

Fast forward ten years, and Briton Engineering was awarded the contract to redesign and rebuild the slope, using Snowflex®. Re-opened in 2006, this impressive new site included features never seen before at a year-round snow sports venue. Among other elements, the slope has a mogul field and half-pipe, plus the largest jumps ever seen on a synthetic snow slope.

Skiable area: 10,850 metres squared
Features: half-pipe, cornice drop, jumps, grind boxes, mogul field
Access: two button drag lifts
Users: skiers and snowboarders at all levels
